Lack of update due to geekiness

I was sucked again by the Dork Black Hole.

Blah blah blah...

I have to admit it! Since one of the famous MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer OnlineRole Playing Game) in the US, Anarchy Online (in the ranks of EverQuest, Ultima Online, Asheron's Call and World of Warcraft), gave a free connection till January 15, 2006, I immediately grabbed the opportunity and bit the bait as hard as I could.

Anarchy Online was released back in 2001, it was the very first sciencefiction based online game and usually you have to cough out $15 a month just to play. With it's free gameplay, I could save about $140 till next year!

Sure, there are local MMORPGs around like Ragnarok, MU online, Tantra, Priston Tale,Khan etc. Aside from being software trash, they cost a lot right now (at least P350 a month), nothing beats FREE GAMEPLAY!

Yes, I'm a cheapskate, so bite me.Unlike the local games we have here, games played inthe western part of the globe are far better (and expensive!), so grabbing the bait is a wise move for me. Anarchy Online is so much bigger, it's rare to see the same character around because of the depth of it's customization. The worlds are huge, some would even require skills of using vehicles and ships (it's that huge!) so you won't see any crowded places where you could easily prepare for a lag session.

So I get BETTER games, BETTER cost (there isn't any!), and I'm free from filipino jerks who exist only to kill-steal (sawsaw)and to annoy serious geek gamers like me.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a link:

http://www.anarchy-online.com/free/ad_campaigns/freecampaign/

Just a word of warning, the client is about 800mb (that's about 200 mp3 songsor an hour of high quality porn mpeg).

So now please understand my schedule:

9am-6pm: work
9pm-6am: Anarchy online

I'll try to fill any social activity if needed.

Thank you, have a nice day.

Religion is superficial

Yikes! Is this what I really have to say this Holy Week?

If I could set aside my wicked style of humor and write about something serious for a day, then this is it!

Why superficial? Because like fashion, money and businesses...it's man-made.

Would you think God would agree on many religions? Knowing that it creates not only a division among his children, but also makes a shield to sway them from the other? Some even hate the other religion so much that they hit on each other during sermons or even on live television, just like what the big networks: GMA and ABS-CBN does. What kind of spiritual leadership is that?

Would you believe that the religion you have now is the only "way" to heaven? Every religion proclaims that they are. That you should seek allegiance to their faith or would not be saved. Isn't that just irritating? Do they treat themselves as gods? Deciding your destiny in the afterlife? How about the millions of Islamic people around the world? Wouldn't they be saved? Why is it that in every religion, there are men who always try to use (and abuse) their power/authority? What does God think of this?

Before I get completely out of topic and start bashing again, I would like to redirect myself...ehem...whatever religion you are in now, all you must have is a loving heart and you'll be with God. I know, it's sounds simple...but it's really easier said than done.

God does not look into the superficial like people do. He does not look at your new car, or your new dress, or even your plastic nose. Remember the time when God ordered Samuel to bless His chosen one? It was in a group of brothers...Samuel somehow doubted on what he saw, coz he never saw someone deserving. But God said to him "the Lord your God never looks on people's appearances like men do, the Lord looks into the heart". Then came the last of the brothers, it was David (you know the rest of the story).

I am an active roman catholic, and since highschool I already received my share of bashing from other religions, churches and such. They would always hit low...describing how pathetic our church was. But I don't understand them, it seems they are filled with hatred. HATE displeases God. I treat them like I treat any other people, but they treat me differently because I express my faith.

I believe that Christ is my way to salvation. Other believes otherwise. It's okay, because the Lord looks into their hearts. The real question is: Is your heart loving? Is your heart generous? Is your heart compassionate? Is your heart merciful and forgiving?

Christ told us of the new commandment, which is to love God and to love you neighbor.
This testifies my belief.

And I believe that's all we have to do. Loving is the work of God. So loving is divine.
If our hearts are free from hatred, anger, envy...and it is full of love, compassion and generosity. Then we are already in heaven, because God is already in our hearts. Well, I also know that this is a hard task...since it's very difficult to forgive and love those who are "unlovable".

So there.

If there's one thing common on all the religion, it is the fact that we should spread love and be forgiving to others.
Now I hope you see my point.

Whew! I sound like a preacher now!

Technically...I'm a blog virgin

Yes, I believe I am…and what’s wrong with that? We always have to start somewhere right? Mickey Arroyo started doing those pathetic action movies before he became Congressman of Pampanga. So does Mark Anthony, he started from little puffs before becoming a full-blown hopeless drug addict. He’ll be jumping out of his condominium in no time, donate his eye and become an inspiration to every young fan. Yes, I’m drifting too much.

Some people say blogging isn’t my thing….that I still have a lot to know. Like I said above, I have to start somewhere, and I hope I started it well enough that you would still read every little word I say even if it annoys you.

Some bloggers write about what they feel at the moment.

Me? I feel itchy.

Some bloggers complain about how their life sucks.

Well, I have no reason to disagree. Their lives really suck.
I’m grateful that these “blogs” save them somehow from committing suicide.

Some bloggers even share a blog to their best friends. Like the “Fine Guys” blog where three guys share tips on grooming.

Well, that’s the gayest thing I’ve seen on the internet.

Some bloggers write about things that they have failed to say (in one point or another) to a person.

Me? Let me think. Well, I’ve met Ethel Booba once having dinner with his boyfriend at Cravings-Galleria. I forgot to say that she’s an ugly whore.

So there. I think I could blog enough.

A hard left jab to our nation

Now...it has come to this...

Just last Sunday afternoon, when I received the official results of the Manny Pacquiao/Erik Morales boxing match from the internet (yes, I’m a geek…I own a blog remember?) in about two hours prior to the match viewed here in Manila via Solar Sports, I felt cheated.

Cheated, scammed, duped…or any word that you could describe a person who regretted investing his life’s savings on pyramid networking scheme.

Obviously, my initial reaction was rage rather than sadness. Knowing the fact that Filipino boxers never win an international bout via judge’s decision…except when the odds are very obvious. In case it was “obvious”, they would just declare a draw (just like the Pacquiao/Marquez match). BAH!!!

I guess I started becoming very bitter as well. I started thinking that truth really does hurt…third world countries don’t deserve anything…even if they do. I also started believing that professional wrestling could be real and the Undertaker was really a zombie. Maybe I was just over-reacting…since I haven’t seen the match yet. And I guess many of you were aware, it was really a long delayed telecast…having more than 20 major sponsors, and a dozen minor ones including the 20-year old “Dragon kung umusok, pati ikaw tepok!” commercial and Rhea Rubbing alcohol (hello?! Referee Padilla and the fat ladies are long dead now).

When I finally had the chance to see the match itself (which took more than 2 hours because of advertisments), I realized that Morales truly deserves to win. I even had a higher score on Erik Morales than the judges. Not only because “overall appearance” is a category on my book, but the fact that the Mexican staged a better performance in the ring. The South paw stance in the later rounds, his patient but calculating attitude and excellent footwork paid off! He really did his homework and predicted most of Manny's moves.
It is true...Erik Morales is the better fighter. It's like Mike Tyson in his prime against Juan Ponce Enrile.

I know you hate me now. Sure, Manny was a fearless fighter, he went on till the end regardless the deep cut on his eye…but it wasn’t enough. Lebron James also scored 56 points last night but it still wasn’t enough to win the ball game.

I know, this event brought sadness throughout our nation, a big slap to the Filipinos. The Mexicans are spitting on us right now. Even the "dibidi dibidi" muslims are greatly affected by this "tragedy".

Yeah right.

As if our country could get even lower than were we are now.

Don’t blame Manny, he gave his best. Blame the government officials who watched the match at Las Vegas, they should be the one pummeled in the ring.
